HARTFORD, CT – The Bushnell Park Carousel will celebrate Greater Hartford’s Annual Festival of Jazz with extended hours. The Carousel will be open to the general public, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 20-22, 2012, from 11:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m. In addition to rides on the antique wooden merry- go- round, the carousel will offer moderately priced refreshments, souvenirs and gifts.
The Carousel operates six days per week, Tuesdays through Sundays, 11 am-5:00 p.m. through Labor Day and Thursday through Sunday during September, and October.
The 98 year old Carousel has served as the crown jewel of Bushnell Park for more than 35 years, featuring 48 masterfully crafted horses and two original chariots. Situated in the heart of historic Bushnell Park, the carousel’s pavilion is the perfect venue for birthday parties, family reunions, field trips, company picnics, graduation celebrations and much more!
The carousel is located in Bushnell Park at 1 Jewel Street, Hartford, across from the Arch. For more information or directions contact the Carousel Museum at 860-585-5411,
